Details

The CEN CWA "TRICK - Guidelines on Data Collection from Textile Supply Chains for the Digital Product Passport" has been officially published. This important technical document provides practical guidelines for collecting traceability and sustainability data along the textile and clothing supply chain.

The document, developed by experts from ENEAUPC and Reverse Resource, with the support of UNI and a large expert group, represents the result of significant work initiated within the European project TRICK and developed with contributions from the PESCO-UP and CISUTAC projects, funded by the European Union.

The document's objective is to support fashion companies in adapting to future European regulatory requirements, such as the introduction of the Digital Product Passport. The guidelines provide concrete guidance on how to collect and manage data along the entire supply chain, promoting collaborative and interoperable information-sharing models.

The CWA also includes practical examples, operational tools, and a data model based on the latest update of the CEN CWA eBIZ (16667), extended to include aspects related to environmental and social sustainability, as well as customs verification. The strength of the document is its holistic, standardized, and integrated approach to data collection, which combines the themes of traceability, sustainability, and supply chain operations management into a single operational framework.

The CWA was published on October 15th on the official CEN website and is available at this link. The document is freely shareable within professional and sector networks and could be a valuable resource for textile companies facing a crucial phase of regulatory and digital transition.
